Associated Subcontractors of Massachusetts Names Michael McDonagh New Chief Executive Officer
WASHINGTON, DC (October 26, 2018) – Following a national search conducted by Sterling Martin Associates, the Associated Subcontractors of Massachusetts (ASM) announced the appointment of Michael McDonagh as Chief Executive Officer. McDonagh succeeds Carrie Ciliberto, who announced 
her decision to leave ASM in May. McDonagh joins ASM from the Massachusetts Association of Realtors®, where he was General Counsel and Government Affairs Director.
“We are so pleased to welcome Michael to the Association. His experience and reputation are stellar and in keeping with the solid reputation of our organization whose members proudly employ thousands of trade workers across the state,” said ASM President Sue Mailman.
Prior to joining ASM, McDonagh was the General Counsel and Director of Government Affairs of the 24,000-member Massachusetts Association of Realtors (MAR) for the past six years. A member of MAR staff since 2001, he held several roles involving the legal and legislative programs and services of the Association focused on issues related to real estate brokerage and property rights.

McDonagh is a graduate of Providence College and the New England School of Law where he served as an editor of the New England Law Review. He has also received his Realtor® Certified Executive (RCE) designation for association management. McDonagh served as a member of the Commonwealth’s Energy Efficiency Advisory Council and is involved with the Real Estate Bar Association where he co-chairs its Legislative Section. McDonagh resides in Easton with his family.
