Karen Lombardo, Senior Associate, joined the Sterling Martin Associates in 2015. Karen has over 25 years of human resources management and recruiting experience. With Sterling Martin Associates, Karen conducts in-depth interviews with C-suite and executive-level candidates on behalf of Sterling Martin’s clients. She has extensive experience working with search committees and client executives in terms of ascertaining key criteria for open positions as well as discussion of candidate profiles. Karen’s responsibilities include preparing extensive candidate profiles, shepherding candidates through the interview process with the firm’s clients, conducting references, and assisting in the offer and acceptance stages.
Before joining Sterling Martin Associates, Karen spent ten years as a senior human resources consulting with Operations, Inc., where she assisted small- to mid-size nonprofits and corporations with their human resources and recruiting needs. She has also worked in various roles within the corporate sector where her focus was on entrepreneurial marketing and communications-related industries.
Karen earned a BA in Government from St. Lawrence University. To deepen her professional portfolio, Karen recently completed the Predictive Index® Practitioner training. Karen and her family reside in Round Hill, VA. Outside of work, Karen shares her lifelong joy of competitive horse showing with one of her children.
